Quality Casting Inspection Methods

OTTOMMO Casting is ISO 9001 and TS 16949 certified company and offers you thorough casting inspection methods. CMM inspection, chemical spectral analysis, tensile test, hardness test and NDT test are all available here. We have committed to quality casting parts and we are confident with our test procedure.

Visually inspection – Surface Finish

This is the mandatory process for us to inspect castings. Because we offer many casting processes, the surface roughness comes our differently. Besides, there is no more efficient inspect equipment than visually inspection. But we will make sure we check every casting on surface finish and deliver you quality part.

Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) – Dimensional Casting Inspection

CMM is a device for measuring the physical geometrical characteristics of an object. We are capable to provide you in-house CMM inspection. So you do not need to worry about the dimensional accuracy of the casting.

Projection Measurement – Dimensional Casting Inspection

Projection measurement is also one of our inspection services. This gives us a better idea if the casting meets the dimensional requirement.

Casting Chemical Spectral Analysis – Chemical Composition Inspection

For every batch of our casting, we will do chemical spectral analysis on random parts. This will make sure the casting chemical composition is based on your request. Meanwhile, we will provide you material certificates if it is necessary.

Metallography Automatic Analysis – Chemical Composition Inspection

Casting alloys is very critical to the casting part. So we also run metallography analysis for your castings. We do not make mistakes on chemical composition and we check the metal structure for you.

Tensile Test for Casting – Mechanical Casting Inspection

Tensile test is the mechanical testing method. Tensile testing provides ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, elongation and reduction of area data. We will make sure casting properties are in compliance with your requirements.

Hardness Test – Mechanical Casting Inspection

Hardness test is very common procedure for mechanical inspection. We definitely can generate the report to you per your request. And this is also for us to inspect if the castings meet your hardness requirement.

Other Casting Inspection Methods Available

As we poured superalloy and high nickel based alloy for the aerospace and military industries we make NDT testing available to you. We have trustworthy sources to run magnetic particle testing and penetrant testing. Beside, we are able to do pressure leak testing for valve and pump parts per your request.
